The New York State Commission for Social Justice established La Bella Lingua Achievement Award for a graduating high school senior who has taken no less than three years of Italian language in an accredited program. If you quality to submit an application please include with the application: two copies of the candidate’s answers to application questions, two copies of an official student’s transcript (containing Italian Language course grades), two copies of a letter of recommendation, and two copies of the student’s essay by March 31st to the District VIII CSJ Liaison.
The award of $500 will be presented to the awardee at the Vincent Lombardi Lodge #2270’s Award Ceremony on July 11th at 7 pm, Eyer Building Community Center 317 Main St., East Rochester.

2024 Scholarship Program
Students graduating high school with a minimum of
85% are eligible to apply. The application requests
evidence of scholarship and service. The same
application may be used for graduate or
undergraduate scholarships. The applicant must
be a New York State resident and of Italian
heritage. Applications are not limited to OSDIA
membership.
NYS Grand Lodge Foundation awards grants to students with an Individualized Educational Plan (I.E.P.). All steps in #2 on the Grant application form must be completed.
This year, for the first time, a vocational/trade school grant will be awarded. Students need to follow the directions to be considered.
